The King is Dead è un gioco che ha una piccola ma significativa storia editoriale, che vi racconteremo per sommi capi perché, a nostro avviso, la dice lunga sulla qualità del gioco che ci apprestiamo a recensire. Nel 2007 un piccolo editore indipendente tedesco, Histogame, raggiunse il proscenio ludico con “Koenig von Siam”, altresì noto come “King of Siam”. Questo gioco, semplice ed economico, per anni è rientrato nella categoria delle rarità molto quotate sul mercato dei giochi introvabili, nonostante il giudizio tiepido che ancora oggi trovate su BoardGameGeek.
